Every once in a while I like to look at what my most popular posts are. I’m often surprised.  To wrap up 2010 I figured I’d share with you the top 10 most popular recipes posts of the past year.  These aren’t recipes that were posted this year but the most popular posts of the year.  Enjoy, and maybe you’ll find something new!

1. Mario Batali’s Basic Pasta Dough

It always surprises me that this post is so popular because it feels like so long ago and I have long-abandoned making my own pasta dough.  Not that it’s totally off the table but I haven’t made pasta dough since I wrote this post.

2. Ad Hoc’s Fried Chicken

This was a fun one for sure although the end result was on the salty side.  I’d definitely give this a try again.

3. Pretty Delicious Fish Tacos

Pretty delicious indeed!  These are a part of my regular rotation.  I REALLY love this recipe.

4. Caesar Club Sandwich

I made this as part of Barefoot Bloggers and loved it.  I haven’t made this sandwich since but I often think about it.  I’m adding this to my list of things to make in the new year.

5. How To Make Homemade Ricotta

Talk about life-changing recipes!  I’m likely NEVER buying ricotta again since it’s so easy to make from scratch.

6. Lidia Bastianich’s Lasagna

A good but labour-intensive lasagna. I have a better recipe that I should make and blog about that I got from one of my cooking classes.

7. Easy Oven Fries

Who doesn’t love fries?  I’m forever looking for different ways to make decent oven fries and this recipe certainly tops the list thus far.

8. Corn on the Cob – Cafe Habana Style

This recipe always brings back great memories of living in NYC and hitting up Cafe Habana.  Their famous corn is easy enough to replicate at home.

9. Martha Stewart’s Gingerbread Cake

Such a throwback post from 2007!  I haven’t made this again but now I kind of want to…

10. Better Buttermilk Biscuits

Who doesn’t love a good biscuit?  These are definitely my go-to biscuit recipe.  And I must point out that they are so easy.  So easy I could make biscuits everyday.  That would be a problem.

I’m definitely going to try making homemade ricotta. I went and checked out the blog post and did not realize how easy it is. I think I found a new use for my banana hanger 😉
